This is a photograph of a Lioness taken at Safari Park by Nature Photographers Margot Carrera. Check out her story her Gallery. CarreraFineArtGallery.com
This lioness was born at Wild Animal Park along with her brother. When they were old enough, she was sent to the San Diego zoo to bond with another Male lion because these lions are on the endangered species and the Park and Zoo are trying to bring up their numbers. Recently, her mate passed and she became rundown and I can only imagine, depressed. So the Wild Animal Park, or Safari Park as it's called now, took her back and placed her with her brother. She has since come back into contentment. You can see it in her face as she relaxes in the sun with her brother next to her. Family is not only important to humans but also to animals. Think of that when hunting . Use a camera to shoot and not a gun.
If you a picture of an animal who has been through a lot and has returned to thrive, this is the photograph for you. Give her to a friend going through a rough time to remind her that she will rise again.
